MISAKAX FOR IPHONE AND IPAD
MisakaX is a desktop customization tool for supported iOS and iPadOS builds. It applies selected capability flags through a device-specific MobileGestalt restore workflow. It is not a jailbreak.
Your exact version, build number and computer platform decide which project and release—if any—fits your device.

TWO PROJECT TRACKS
MisakaX 2.x and misaka26 are related, but they are not interchangeable. Their release labels, supported ranges and setup details differ.
Use this track only when your exact iOS or iPadOS build fits the 2.2 or 2.3 release notes. Version 2.2 provides macOS and Windows downloads. Version 2.3 is a macOS prerelease for a later, narrow beta window.
misaka26 is the related track for newer system families and additional flags. Its latest release title says Unstable. A broad version claim does not prove that one feature will work on your model.
Do not choose by version number alone. “Latest” on GitHub identifies a release target; it does not mean safest, compatible with every build or guaranteed to work.
What about MisakaX 3.0 beta? It is a separate, unfinished test build distributed through the developer’s Patreon. Do not treat it as a replacement for GitHub 2.x or as another name for misaka26. View the developer listing ↗
HOW MISAKAX WORKS
You extract your own MobileGestalt file, select capability flags on a Mac or Windows PC, apply a partial restore, then reboot or respring and check the result.

A flag cannot add RAM, display technology, sensors, a physical button or other hardware your device does not have.
MisakaX does not provide general code execution, a package manager or universal tweak support.
FEATURES AND LIMITS
Dynamic Island, Always-On Display, Apple Intelligence-related flags, Stage Manager and other options still depend on the build, model, hardware and service eligibility.
iOS 16.0+
Dynamic Island-related capability values and the size choices presented by the app.
It cannot reshape a notch or add display/sensor hardware. Overlap, spacing and animation problems remain model-specific.
iOS 17.0+
The charge-limit settings surface associated with newer iPhone models.
A visible percentage selector is not proof that an unsupported battery path will enforce it reliably.
iOS 16.0+
Stage Manager and iPad-style multitasking capability surfaces.
UI exposure does not supply memory, display-output support or iPad-class performance. Identity edits raise a different risk level.
iOS 18.0+
Always-On Display settings and related lock-screen behavior values.
It cannot add the display characteristics of a supported panel. Power use, dimming and screen-off behavior may differ.
iOS 18.1 beta-era flag claim
Eligibility and settings values associated with Apple Intelligence.
It cannot add RAM/compute, model files, language or region eligibility. UI, model download and working features are separate outcomes.
iOS 16.0+
Developer Mode and Metal performance HUD capability surfaces.
A visible developer surface is not a security-research entitlement or proof that every development workflow works.

A TrollRestore-based installer path on the exact range published by its primary project.
This narrow installer range is independent from general MisakaX compatibility. The documented iOS 17.0 builds do not imply later 17.x.
iOS 18.0+
misaka26’s iPad-style multitasking mode.
A respring is required. The current 1.6 page says macOS in the feature line but its changelog says Windows/Intel support was added; platform scope is unresolved.
SAFE WORKFLOW
Keep each stage separate. If something fails, you should know whether the problem happened during identification, file loading, restore, reboot or the final feature check.
WHAT SUCCESS MEANS
The desktop message, the reboot, the appearance of a setting and the real feature outcome are four different checks. Record them separately.
Read the entire log. A completion message only describes the desktop operation.
Confirm that it boots, unlocks and does not remain in setup or a reboot loop.
Test the specific behavior. If there is no effect, do not keep pressing Apply without a diagnosis.
BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD
Create a current backup, save the untouched original MobileGestalt file and decide what you will do if the device does not return normally. If this is a work-managed device or you cannot tolerate data loss and recovery time, stop here.

No. MisakaX uses a backup/restore-based workflow on supported builds. It does not install a general jailbreak or package manager.
The GitHub repositories publish documentation and release binaries, but they do not currently publish the full source code of the desktop applications. Download only from the developers’ linked release pages.
The marketing version alone may not be enough, especially for betas. Enter the exact version, build number and computer platform in the compatibility checker. An adjacent beta is not an automatic match.
Choose only after the checker identifies a matching release claim. MisakaX 2.2, the 2.3 macOS prerelease and misaka26 1.6 have different ranges and risk labels.
No official Linux binary is documented in the current MisakaX or misaka26 release tracks. Do not replace the official workflow with an unverified mirror or repack.
The project repositories warn that a bootloop is possible and tell users to create a backup. Preserve your original MobileGestalt file and read the recovery path before making any change.
A restore can finish without the selected feature becoming functional. Common boundaries include the exact build, the chosen release, the plist, the reboot or respring step, and missing hardware or service eligibility. Stop and diagnose the stage instead of applying repeatedly.
